Relationship Goals

1.  Strong Relationship with God – First as individuals (starting at salvation) and as a family

2.  Strong Marriage – Illustrate the relationship of Christ and the church  (Ephesians 5:21 -33) – Teach by example to our children what marriage should look like

3.  Parent-Child Relationships – We must have the hearts of our children and use our influence in their hearts to direct them to the Lord  (Proverbs 4:4, Proverbs 2:1-2, Proverbs 3:1-6, Proverbs 23:15 -17, Proverbs 23:26 )

4.  Sibling Relationships – The children should be best friends  (1 John 4:19 -21)

5.  Joy in the Family – Anger will kill our relationships, and cannot be allowed to exist in our family – conversely, joy will make our family strong, and fun to be a part of (1 Thessalonians 5:16 -18, Proverbs 16:32 , Proverbs 19:11 , Ecclesiastes 7:9, Ephesians 4:31 -32, Colossians 3:8)

6.  Walk in love  (Ephesians 5:1-2, John 13:35 )

7.  Communication – Key to all relationships (e.g. good communication within family, prayer time with God, etc)

 Why "Team"?

When we refer to ourselves as "Team", we simply mean that we are a group of people the Lord has placed together with common goals and direction in life. We believe He has placed us together for a reason, and so we seek to stay together as much as possible. We enjoy our team and enjoy doing things together. Since we are a team, we're not spending time and money chasing individual goals and interests, but those of our team. Additionally, we hope to teach our children the importance of "Team" so they can enjoy the same thing in their families!
